Best Hybrid Smartwatches in 2024
Published: | Updated:If you’re into smartwatches, but you like the timelessness of analog dials, then a hybrid smartwatch is what you want. We’ve compiled a list of the best hybrid smartwatches in [year], all in one place. But before we go through the hybrid smartwatches on the list – there are a few things we’d like you to know first.
Hybrid smartwatches don’t have a touchscreen and usually don’t have access to 3rd party apps. That is why they are able to boast a very long battery life and track your activity and sleeping patterns – with your daily progress displayed on a smartphone application. They are wear and forget devices, and what they do they do well.
With so many to choose from, sifting the good from the bad isn’t easy.
Thankfully, we’re here to help. Below, we’ve listed what we believe to be the best hybrid smartwatches to help you buy the right smartwatch for you. So, without further ado, and in no particular order, here are the top 10 hybrid smartwatches this year:
List of Best Hybrid Smartwatches
Tory Burch Collins Hybrid Smartwatch
Fashion designer Tory Burch has entered the hybrid smartwatch market this year with its Collins smartwatch. The Tory Burch Collins has an upmarket, eclectic design inspired by menswear, although in truth it appears to be more unisex than masculine in its style.
The Tory Burch Collins automatically changes time zones, and it allows you to accurately track a second-time zone. A vibration motor alerts you when you get a smartphone notification, and it will track your activity and sleep patterns with a configurable smartphone app. It uses a button cell battery, so it doesn’t need charging, and it’ll go on sale in time for the holidays with four different styles to choose from.
Alpina Seastrong Horological
If you love diving watches, then the Alpina Seastrong Horological is the hybrid smartwatch for you. Alpina is a Swiss watchmaker and the Seastrong Horological is an absolute stunner, with a 300-meter dive rating and a chunky 44mm case.
Compatible with both iOS and Android smartphones, the Seastrong Horological connects to your smartphone via Bluetooth and tracks your steps and activity. It can also receive notifications from your smartphone and it will vibrate to alert you. As you’d expect from a Swiss-Made hybrid smartwatch, the Seastrong Horological has a sapphire crystal and first-class build quality. The crown, located at the three o’clock position, also doubles as a button so you can cycle through different features. Overall, this is a fantastic smartwatch.
Michael Kors Access Hybrid
The Michael Kors Access Hybrid offers the style of an analog watch and the fitness tracking features of a smartwatch. It has a 6-month battery life, a 3 ATM water resistance rating and it’s compatible with both iOS and Android smartphones.
The Kors Access Hybrid tracks your activity automatically and syncs all that data with a dedicated application. The application is well designed, with calorie burn calculations and sleep activity patterns available. There are also three buttons on the device’s case, which lets you control your smartphone’s camera and music. You can also quickly switch between two different time zones by pushing down the center crown button.
Skagen Hagen Connected
The Skagen Hagen Connected has one of the most sophisticated designs of any hybrid smartwatch, with an intricate activity dial and a slender bezel. It’s available in a variety of different colors, and with a titanium or steel case.
It’s also keenly priced from $205.00, and you get plenty of functionality for your money with smartphone notifications, accurate fitness tracking, and a sleep monitor. The case size is bang on too at 42mm, and you’re looking at a battery life of more than 6 months. It’ll store your activity for two weeks without smartphone syncing, and there are three buttons on the side of the case which let you cycle through different features.
Mondaine Helvetica No.1 Smart
The Mondaine Helvetica has all the hallmarks of a future classic, and its smartwatch brethren, the Mondaine Helvetica No.1 Smart, has all that too. A Swiss Made smartwatch, it has an excellent fit and finishing, and it’s available with a variety of cases.
As with all the smartwatches on our list, the Mondaine Helvetica No.1 Smart will track your activity and sleep patterns. The watch face has an activity progress dial and raised indices, which really pop under the right light. You have a choice of stainless steel, black PVD coated and gold cases, and a choice of watch straps. The black on black version is very stealthy, and all models boast a 2-year battery life which is long even by hybrid smartwatch standards.

Fossil Q Grant
Fossil Group recently announced they will launch more than 300 smartwatches over the next few years, and the Fossil Q Grant is one of those. A traditionally-styled timepiece, the Q Grant has a chronograph dial and it’s available in a variety of finishes.
Priced from $155.00, the Fossil Q Grant connects to your iPhone or Android device via Bluetooth and automatically tracks your activity and sleep patterns. The dial has traditional Roman indices and a lower-central activity progress dial. It’s a stylish hybrid timepiece, but it does have a downside – the battery life is only rated for 7 days, which is pitiful compared to the competition. The reason? It’s a rechargeable battery rather than a button cell battery, so we recommend skipping this smartwatch if you don’t want to have to charge it.
Misfit Phase
The Misfit Phase is an outstanding fitness tracker. Arguably, it’s the most accurate step counter on our list and it also comes with a very well-designed smartphone application. We recommend this hybrid smartwatch if you are into your fitness.
In terms of design, the Misfit Phase is available in a variety of colors, including Jet Black, Silver and gold. Each model has two smart buttons on the side of the case, which allows you to wirelessly play and pause the music on your smartphone and control your smartphone’s camera. The battery is a button cell battery that lasts for around 6 months, and the Misfit Phase offers wireless notifications thanks to an in-built vibration motor.
Diesel On Hybrid
The Diesel On is a handsome, masculine hybrid smartwatch. It’s oversized, with a case size of 47mm x 58mm and a case thickness of 13mm. Chunky and rugged, it tracks your steps and sleep patterns and accepts push notifications from your smartphone.
Not to be confused with Diesel’s Android Wear 2.0 device launched this year, the hybrid version is available in styles DT1000, DT1001, DT1002, DT1003, and DT1004. This mix and match silver, black or gold cases with incredibly detailed dials. Each dial has separate indices and a multi-colored activity dial. Smart features include the ability to control your music, take a photo, ring your phone, and track multiple time zones at the push of a button.
Marc Jacobs Riley
The Marc Jacobs Riley is perhaps the chicest hybrid smartwatch. Colorful and oversized, it has a large round face with an activity progress dial and a polycarbonate case, a material that is the go-to for premium smartphones.
Polycarbonate is a lightweight, tough and durable material, so it makes sense for a smartwatch. You’ll be able to choose from a variety of case and dial color combinations at launch, and as with the DKNY minute, there are three configurable buttons on the side of the case. The Marc Jacobs Riley hybrid smartwatch boasts fitness, and sleep tracking capability, and it has a vibration motor for alerts. You hook it up to your smartphone via Bluetooth.
